Herd: The Wintering

An abstract strategy game of control as winter draws in. As the forest prepares for winter, two players guide opposing herds of deer through the woods. This is a of positioning, timing and of gentle shifts that build pressure until nothing more can move. The Wintering is an elegant, nature-inspired strategy game for two players. Tactile, quiet, and deeply strategic, it unfolds in three distinct phases, each with its own character. In The Advance, space is open and choices are plentiful. In The Turning, pieces shift in function and the board begins to tighten. And in The Wintering, players face a final test of timing before there are no remaining moves. The goal is not to eliminate, but to endure. When your opponent can no longer act, winter has arrived and you have won. With simple rules and rich decision space, The Wintering rewards foresight, timing, and spatial intuition.
