Zombie Raid

An edge-matching solitaire card game where you barricade yourself against a horde of zombies! Comes with 60 Nail & Plank Cards, 3 House Cards, 5 Zombie Cards, and rulebook. To play the game, the Player places either 1 (shorter game), 2 (medium game) or 3 (longer game) House Cards onto the table. Every third card from the remaining deck of Nail & Plank Cards is drawn and placed anywhere around the center House Cards by matching the symbol(s) on the edges. Play continues by drawing the third card on every turn until three complete rings of cards have surrounded the center House cards. Throughout game play, Zombie Cards will appear, which counts against the Player. When a Zombie Card is drawn, it is placed into the spread anywhere the Player wants, and they can do this up to 5 times since there are 5 Zombie cards. A Player wins if they can complete three rings of cards around the center House Cards before the 5th Zombie card appears. If the 5th Zombie Card appears before the third ring is completed, they lose. Advanced game play allows the Player to removed a placed Zombie card from the spread, allowing more time to complete their three rings. A two-Player game can be achieved by alternating turns. The "HexD3x" series has many versions of the game, and they all play the same way, with some of the games in the series incorporating fun tokens that "deactivate" symbols to match edges to help the Player complete their three rings. —description from the designer
