📖 About This Game

WORDSMITHS WORKSHOP is a collection of two dry erase word games for two or more players plus solo. BIGRAM BONANZA & LUCKY LETTERS are both printed on one two-sided dry erase card. In these two, fast-paced, dice-driven word games, players risk it all each turn to grab hot letter pairings or single letters - then cash them in for words and points. Both games share a core push-your-luck engine but feature distinct grids and dice-rolling twists. Bigram Bonanza Rules This word-building game is controlled by die rolls. Write down and score 4-letter words by combining pairs of bigrams. SETUP: Give each player their own card and a dry erase marker. Players will all be playing simultaneously – so no waiting. GAME PLAY: 1. A player rolls both dice. 2. Pick two available bigrams from the boxes matching the dice rolled. If doubles are rolled, pick any two available bigrams. 3. Combine the two bigrams in any order and call out your valid 4-letter word. 4. Write down your word. 5. Mark off the two bigrams used for your word to prevent reuse. 6. Score your word and record its value. Repeat until you have made five 4-letter words, wiping off the marks in your boxes in between rounds. The player with the highest total score is the winner. Play three rounds to see who is the overall winner. Lucky Letters Rules This word-building game is controlled by a single die roll. Form five valid words by strategically collecting one letter at a time. SETUP: Give each player their own card and a dry erase marker. Players will all be playing simultaneously – so no waiting. GAME PLAY: 1. A player rolls the die to select one of the six boxes of letters matching the die roll. 2. Pick one letter from that box and write it at the bottom of your card. 3. Mark off the letter selected to prevent it from being reused in this round. Repeat building your word until: - A player makes a valid 5-letter word and optionally calls out “game over”. One more die roll gives everyone a final attempt to complete their word. - Someone makes a valid 6-letter word causing the round to be over immediately. - All players can no longer form a word after three die rolls. 4. Score your valid word (of at least 3 letters) and record its value. 5. Wipe off your board except the scores. Play five rounds. The winner will have the highest total after five words. In case of a tie, play another round. OPTION: For a quicker game, roll two dice and select two letters. —description from the publisher
