Two years ago the Epsilon Eridani system was discovered to have a planet in the "Goldilocks" zone. The European Union led by Germany and Britain combined with the support of Australia have spent the last two years putting together a colony plan and moving personnel and equipment into the system. The final colony shipment landed six months ago but the majority of the colony is still getting their feet underneath them. The majority of the colony is scattered around the main colony site in small farmsteads linked by solar powered wireless communications and not much else.
