Spartans & Successors is a simple set of wargame rules for the Golden Age of Greek and Macedonian history, enabling the great battles of antiquity to be played with limited numbers of figures in a small playing area. Using a standard deck of playing cards per player and a gridded playing surface the rules offer a unique game play experience. With elements of resource management and planning, bluff and the application of historical tactics players can refight the great battles of antiquity with limited figures - armies are the same size as a DBA army - on the kitchen table with minimal set up. —description from the publisher
