📖 About This Game

In honor of the 150th birthday of the great master Piet Mondrian, artists from around the world are transforming Dam Square into Mondrian Square. They fit and measured colorful tiles into a patterned square according to the principles of de Stijl. The result of the stepped and stacked structures is stunning. Soon the people of Amsterdam renamed the Mondrian Square as Piets Piazza! Piets Piazza is a smooth game where everything revolves around speed and insight! Each round, players must get rid of their tiles as quickly as possible by placing them on a starting layer of tiles according to the building rules. During placement, Mondrian tokens can be earned that earn extra points. The game consists of four rounds of play with a new building and stacking method in each round. If the building is complete or one player has got rid of all their tiles, the round ends and a scoring takes place. In addition to the Mondrian tokens obtained, players earn points based on the number of tiles they managed to place during the round. The fewer tiles a player has left, the more points a player gets. After four rounds, the player with the most points wins the game. Piets Piazza can also be played in the Junior version or in the Adversary version. —description from the publisher
