Picture Puzzles: Familiar Phrases

Party game. The box contains 18 Picture Cards and 12 Answer Cards. Each picture has some noticeabie feature and the words expressing it generally convey, in everyday usage, quite a different or wider meaning. Example — 'TO SIT ON THE FENCE' The usual Interpretation of this phrase is ' to be neutral' or ' not to take sides.' In the picture the expression is conveyed by showing hens (and boy) sitting on a fence. Distribute the pictures about the area of play and give each player an answer card. A time limit should be fixed and the player who writes down most correct expressions is the winner. Answer cards should be interchanged for checking.
