📖 About This Game

The three Windsprites are fickle and indifferent. Entice them to bless your village through offerings of sincere devotion. Prove your village’s devotion to the Windsprites by making offerings that appeal to them in this 6-card expansion game for Mysticana. Use the cards in your hand or field as offerings, slowly revealing face-down cards as additional offerings. Competing offerings are resolved by element priority and rank. Wind cards offer the chance to secure the current sprite’s blessing or simply call for the next one. Accumulate successful offerings to earn favor and score a total of 4 favor across multiple rounds to win the game! Each player receives a hand of 2 cards, 1 Wind card, and 1 Avatar, as well as a field of 5 cards (2 face-up covering 3 face-down). One remaining card is revealed to show the goal: an exact number of offerings players are trying to win. The leader makes a single offering from their hand or their face-up field cards to the current sprite, then the opposing player makes a similar offering (matching the led card’s element if possible). Compare the two offerings. The higher rank wins if both cards share an element; otherwise the element which best matches the current sprite’s preferences wins. The player with the better offering claims both cards. Wind cards are judged by the sprite’s element preferences, then advance the sprite to the next one. Reveal any face-down cards that are uncovered and repeat until 9 pairs of offerings have been made. If either player wins offerings equal to the goal at the end of the round, they score 2 favor. Otherwise, the player closest to that goal scores 1 favor. Play through a new round. The first player to score 4 favor wins the game! Mysticana is a Foundation Deck: an 18-card deck that includes multiple core games using just the base cards with even more games added through small expansions. The deck features cards with 6 ranks across 3 suits (elements) which have a “rock-paper-scissors” hierarchy. While each game might make use of the deck’s design in different ways, the flexible foundation enables new games to fit in seamlessly alongside previous entries.
