Medicine Wheel

In this card game for 3 to 5 players, the cards represent not only the four quarters of the Medicine Wheel, but also several other elemental features of Anishinaabe culture. The aspect of the game that sets it apart is the “sowing” of cards around the table in a mancala fashion to build sets for yourself, at the same time sharing cards with other players. Each player has a tableau of four cards to build sets on, and a hand of four cards to play from. There is also a set of "resource" cards that players can access under certain conditions.
