📖 About This Game
Keimola used to be a Finnish motor racing track in Vantaa, just north of Helsinki, that was in use between 1966-1978. It replaced the Eläintarha track in Helsinki which was deemed too dangerous after the fatal events of the last race there in 1963. In the "Keimola speedfest" you are driving a formula car (not F1 though).
Before start all players roll the die and the results will determine the starting positions. Then, the players move on the race track by rolling the die. First three players in the goal will get prize money. In the second race the starting order is reversed (=finishing order of the last race). Game ends after agreed number of races and the winner is the player with most money.
You can also play until one player or the bank runs out of money. At the start of the game every player gets 5100 marks. Taking part in the race costs 1700 marks. Winner of the race gets 1000*(number of players+1) marks. Second gets 500*(number of players+1) marks. And the third one will get 200*(number of players+1). The plus one money comes from the bank.
This game was published while Keimola was still active and the likely date of publication is in the mid-1970's as this is a Kuvataide/Paletti co-publication.
