Grifoni: Blades for Hire

Grifoni – Blades for Hire is a competitive eurogame for 2–4 players that blends worker placement, resource management, and branching narrative. Each player assumes the role of a commander in the legendary Grifoni Company, guiding their mercenary band through the bustling markets, backroom deals, and perilous missions of Renaissance Italy. Over a series of Acts, the game alternates between a story phase, using the Book of Adventures to present narrative choices that influence future events, and a management phase, where players recruit mercenaries, obtain equipment, and assign missions. A unique Glory/Supremacy system rewards different playstyles: pursue honor and prestige through noble deeds, or enforce your will through ruthless tactics, unlocking distinct objectives and rewards. At the end of the game, the commander with the most Victory Points earns renown as the most influential leader of the Company — but their choices will determine whether they are remembered as a hero or feared as a tyrant. —description from the publisher
