📖 About This Game
Welcome to Field of Bees, the buzzing new card game that lets you experience the world of these essential pollinators. Your mission is to explore the wildflower field, collecting different flowers to lure endangered bee populations to your bee sanctuary. As the game unfolds, you'll need to employ a blend of memory and tactical decision-making to gather the right flower combinations, redeem bee cards, and use their special abilities.
Honey bees are often the first bee we think of when we hear the phrase, “Save the Bees”. However, native bees may be threatened by habitat loss, pathogens, and perhaps managed bees such as Honey Bees. (Worldwide, the use of managed bees for crop pollination and honey production has increased dramatically.) After playing this game, research these flowers and native bees. Then consider planting one of these flowers in your own garden if it supports your region’s ecosystem.

Overview
At a high level, during the game players will flip then collect flower cards from the wildflower field. Players will need to remember which cards were flipped by other players, kept or remain in the flower field as new flowers are added to the field in order to strategically collect flower cards. (If you struggle with memory games, or are tight on space, Field of Bees offers a simple drafting structure as well!) Matching flower cards can be redeemed to collect bees. Collected bees can be saved in a player's sanctuary or garden to utilize an action. (Each bee type has a special ability that can be played if a bee is in a garden. Once the action is played, the bee is then saved in the player's sanctuary.) The game ends when the first player or the group has collected the designated number of bees for the chosen gameplay. The various gameplay modes are outlined in the field guide, along with guidelines around flipping flowers, trading flowers, collecting bees, luring bees, dangerous knapweeds and more!
