📖 About This Game
Become the architect of the 1889 World's Fair!
Like Gustave Eiffel or Ferdinand Dutert, step into the shoes of a visionary and design the iconic attraction of this global event. Relive the construction of this historic World's Fair, where Adolphe Alphand, its organizer, entrusts you with a major mission: to create the most spectacular venues and attractions in celebration of the centennial of the French Revolution.
It is in this very context that the Eiffel Tower is born, becoming the iconic symbol we know today. ?
A reedition of Roll Through the Ages, a game by Matt Leacock, the renowned designer of Pandemic.
The game is played over several rounds. In each round, all players take one turn. Once every player has completed their turn, the round ends and a new one begins.
On their turn, a player may perform all of the following actions, if possible (and/or required by the dice roll):
Roll the dice, then collect resources and worker wages
Pay the workers and resolve any disaster effects
Recruit workers and/or build monuments
Purchase one (and only one) development
Discard excess resources (beyond six) and pass the dice
