Drakelings

Even the most mighty of dragons must start somewhere! In Drakelings, players run dragon hatcheries to prepare young drakes for their time at a prestigious dragon training school, not least among these being Drakewright University. Only the most daring hatcheries will gain the attention of Drakewright, so players must carefully choose the Drakelings they will raise, the caretakers they will employ, and the equipment they will use to gain victory points and secure their place among the greatest hatcheries. Players will begin by moving a Drakeling or caretaker pawn along a 3 by 3 grid to select a card they can add to their hatchery. Equipment will give immediate rewards, such as resources or victory points, while drakeling or caretaker cards have special abilities that will give larger rewards, but may only activate under special conditions or at the cost of resources. Each drakeling has natural abilities in which they excel. By pairing a drakeling with a caretaker equipped to handle their natural talents, you main gain a handful of rewards such as meat to feed your dragons, crystals to pay your caretakers, or even additional cards to add to your hatchery. Carefully planning your pairings will allow you to chain together massive combos and rapidly build your hatchery into and bustling home for drakelings. As the game progresses, players will gain victory points through successful pairings, special abilities, and achievements cards.
