📖 About This Game
Disco Inferno is a cooperative deck building game for 2-6 players where you and your friends try to out-perform demon Dancers before you get booed out of the club!
The game starts with players facing off against a 7 card "Dancer" deck pulled from a set of 14+ unique options. Each player will choose from 8 characters and begin with a starter deck and player board unique to that character. Players expand their deck by generating currency (Appeal) and using it to purchase new cards at the Shop. Some new cards from the shop have Genre effects, which are conditional effects that only resolve when the matching Genre is playing. This is determined by cards revealed in the "Now Playing" slot next to the Genre deck, which contains 9 unique Genres.
To win the game, players must defeat 7 demons Dancers to reach Inferno level 7. Each level presents a new Dancer with a unique ability and set of effects determined by a dice roll at the beginning of each player turn. In addition, an additional die is rolled to determine environmental changes in the club environment (such as changing the Genre).
Watch out for Crowd Mood! This tracker starts at 0 and can scale from +5 (HYPED!) down to -5 (Defeat) — hitting -5 causes the players to immediately lose the game (get booed out of the club). Can you and your friends work together to prove that DISCO NEVER DIES?
