📖 About This Game

The Battle of BiaÅ‚ołęka took place on 24 and 25 February 1831 in the village of BiaÅ‚ołęka, Poland, during the Polish–Russian War 1830–31. The Polish forces defeated the Russians. However, the Polish victory was not decisive and ultimately inconclusive. BiaÅ‚ołęka is a small town situated north of Warsaw. The Russian forces in that area, commanded by Ivan Shakhovskiy, consisted of some 11,000 men and 56 cannons. The Polish forces commanded by Jan Krukowiecki, Antoni GieÅ‚gud and Kazimierz MaÅ‚achowski were fortified and their aim was to protect the entrance to Warsaw. There were some 13,000 men and 22 cannons in the Polish forces. The games use the Napoleon system by Taktyka i Strategia.
