📖 About This Game
Outrageous sacrilege! These puny mortals would dare to worship other gods?! This won't do at all! Everyone knows that YOU are the most glorious deity in the cosmos. Time to bring your full power to bear, and prove once and for all that you deserve the throne … of the ALMIGHTY!
Almighty is a 1-4 player game in which you are a moody ancient god - of the Sun, the Dead, Love, or Storms - competing for belief and glory by performing various acts upon the inhabitants of the mortal plane. Every turn is another page in a rich and entertaining story that emerges from the gameplay: will these mortals lead full, prosperous lives, or suffer terribly by your hand? You are their god, you decide!
On your turn you'll play Act cards to one of four different lands, impacting the Mortals there (creating them, moving them, poking them for their effect, blessing or cursing them to alter their value) which generates Belief. At the end of the round, the Mortals hold a Festival in each land and give Glory (victory points) to the god with the most Belief there. But only Worthy Mortals earn Glory! Unworthy Mortals subtract Glory, so you'll need to move or smite them away, or bless them to turn their value positive, while also working to reduce the value in lands where your opponents are ahead. Mortals are a shared common resource, not owned by any player, so outwit your opponents by using and positioning them in a way that benefits YOU most at Festival time.
Each god also has a unique deck of act cards and an asymmetric, highly thematic puzzle to work out, and you only see a handful of the mortal deck in each game, making every game of Almighty completely different from the start.
The first player to reach 30 Glory triggers the final round, after which the god with the most Glory is crowned ALMIGHTY!
