De Bello Galactico puts you in control of one the interstellar civilizations competing for galactic supremacy. To prevail, you will need to explore and colonize new star systems, build space ships, research new technologies, politicize in the galactic council, and keep your population happy. There are many routes to victory; smart plotting and investing in the right political Agenda could secure your political supremacy, or you might science your way to the top, uniting the galaxy in a holistic singularity event. You might slowly plod to economic predominance. An aggressive colonization strategy with the support of your population could secure your superior power, as would the military domination of one of the other big intergalactic players. Reading which path your opponents follow and outsmarting them is key to victory. De Bello Galactico is a straightforward and streamlined true 4X space game. The vast interstellar distances covered are baked into the Hyperspace movement system, doing away with the need for a board. Each Faction has different upgradeable ships, as well as a different way to handle their population.
