📖 About This Game
ã ãã¸ã¼ãï¼ (A Mujina) is a speed game from Japan. Players try to identify the correct animal faces fastest.
The game has a set of tiles and a set of matching player cards. Each show the faces of Tanuki, but the tiles are in colour and the cards are only in black ink. As everybody knows, Tanuki are animals native to Japan, but they are also special shape-shifting creatures. Here, they are trying to change into other animals, like pandas, tigers or bears.
The tiles are dealt out face up on the table in a mixed up way. The players are dealt 4 hand cards, and must grab the four tiles correctly matching their hand cards first.
But it is tricky, as the differences are quite small. Are the ears round or pointed, are there whiskers, is there a leaf on their head?? Check the eyes, check the nose, every feature must match.
On the back of each card and tile is a set of simple markers. If the two are matched, then the lines will match up exactly. This is a very fast way to show whether the right ones have been picked or not.
Players score scores for being first, and lose points for cards left in hand. After a few rounds, most points wins.
