📖 About This Game

はんかくさいツアー計画 (Hankakusai tours keikaku) is a sliding puzzle game from Japan. Players are tour operators trying to complete ridiculous requests from customers visiting Hokkaido. The tour operators complete demands by sliding different parts of the island closer together. Hokkaido is a very large island to the North of Honshu, which is the largest island in the Japanese archipelago. But Hokkaido is nearly as large as Honshu, and has no Shinkansen (Bullet Train) either. The main cities and tourist sites in Hokkaido are far apart and hard to get around. Tourists can only use the local express trains. But tourists are wanting to visit Sapporo, Hakodate, Kushiro in 3 days and 2 nights! So, obviously, Kushiro must be moved next to Sapporo! As a result, Hokkaido looks like a mess, but it's a small sacrifice if you can fulfill the customer's wishes. In the game, the island's geography is divided up across a grid of square tiles. Players take turns, rolling three dice and moving the tiles around liking a sliding puzzle game. The tiles can be rotated (they have a marker in one corner to show the correct orientation). The player who can move their tourist around the required locations fastest scores points. The game designer is from Hokkaido and in the game title 'Hankakusai' is a dialect of Hokkaido and means 'stupid' or 'ridiculous'. user summary
