どんちき百鬼 (Donchiki Hyakki)

どんちき百鬼 (Donchiki Hyakki) is a social game from Japan where players have to convey meanings through the medium of dance! You are given a theme to express, and a manner to dance in, and a limit of just using your head, or right/left arm or both arms. The goal of the game is to help people overcome their inhibitions of performing in front of other people. The theme is about a secret party where demons and foxes and humans and strange creatures gathered and boasted who was best at the performing arts. So they held a contest, but because the party was so noisy, it had to be settled by dancing. Similar to charades, players are given a topic to express, and must follow a style such as Fluffy, Sneaky, Noisy and so on. If they can get the other players to guess the topic, they score points. Most points wins, but the real winner is getting people to show off. The publisher says: 鬼、狐、天狗、人間が種族を超えて寄り集まり、夜な夜な密かに開かれる怪しげな大宴会の話である。その席にて顔を突きあわせた各々の親分たちは、自らの種族こそ最も芸に長じていると酒の肴にとくとくと論議しはじめるが、めいめい一歩も譲らず埒が明かない。結果、百聞は一見に如かずとばかりに駆り出されたるはその子分たち、出されたお題にかなう踊りで芸を競い、逆に見物側はその踊りのお題を看破せよとの命を下される。だが、魑魅魍魎馳せ参じた宴の演台は喧騒凄まじく、とても一息にお題を伝えることなどできず、人づてに耳打ちする他はないが、さりとて面子を賭けた勝負ともあってずるをしないとも限らない。踊る阿呆に見る阿呆、夜は短し踊らな損々、恥はかきすて踊れよ乙女、前後不覚でどうなることやら、これより開宴どんちき百鬼！ user summary
