どうぶつサッカー (Animal Soccer)

どうぶつサッカー (a.k.a. Dōbutsu sakkā, which means "animal soccer") is a soccer-themed cousin of the simple Shogi variant Let's Catch the Lion! which replaces capture/promotion of a king with movement of a shared soccer ball. Player pieces can move one space orthogonally or diagonally. Moving onto the soccer ball token allows kicking it either one or two spaces in one of the directions indicated on the piece. If the ball is kicked to another of a player's pieces, that counts as a pass and the receiving piece can kick it again. Kick the ball into the opponent's goal area to win!
