📖 About This Game

The trick-taking game くさったバナナ (Kusatta Banana), roughly translated as "Rotten Banana", was released as part of the publisher ruri ruri games' (るりるりゲームズ) Autumn 2019 box of trick-taking games, titled トリテセット5 (Trick Taking Set 5). In くさったバナナ, players will stack a series of wooden banana tokens in front of them in a line, and their score at the end of the game will be the largest line of non-rotten banana tokens, counting from the bottom of the line. At the start of the game, each player receives a few non-rotten banana tokens and one rotten banana token, and may order them in any order they like. When a player wins a trick, they collect the top-most banana token from each other player that played a banana card, and add them in an order of their choosing to the bottom of their line of tokens. The deck consists of mostly banana cards, but also a few leaf cards. The rules also allow for a player with no remaining tokens to collect tokens from another player.
