📖 About This Game

Willoughby’s Chase is a free solo campaign set during the Wars of the Three Kingdoms in 1643, designed to complement the Dominion of Pike & Shotte rules by Stephen Parker and published by Ork Games. In a campaign featuring dashing young cavalry officers, a man who once planned to elope with the Princess of Zanzibar, and a then relatively unknown Oliver Cromwell, the player will take the part of Francis Willoughby, 5th Baron Willoughby of Parham and leader of the Parliamentarian forces in Lincolnshire. Your job will seem simple: keep supply lines to the besieged port of Hull open and prevent the Earl of Newcastle marching south with his Royalist army to join the King. All dice rolls in the campaign are on a single d6. For solo play using the Dominion of Pike & Shot rules, the campaign can be played in under two hours and provides plenty of challenges. The game-controlled Royalists have their own in-game logic, based on historic objectives, so the player does not feel that they're just playing against a random, unpredictable enemy. —description from the publisher
