📖 About This Game
In Widgets n' Digit$ you play the role of a business owner. Your goal is to scale your widget manufacturing process and earn the most money by the end of the fiscal year.
Each turn you'll produce widgets in 4 steps.
First you create a raw material, which becomes a part, then a finished good, and finally a widget which sells for $20.
In order to increase the amount of widgets you produce you need to upgrade each of the 4 steps by buying upgrade cards, but due to limited resources you can usually only afford 1-2 cards per turn. This means that upgrading will leave you with bottlenecks in your widget supply chain.
You can still profit with bottlenecks by buying the resources you need or selling excess resources in the market. But each transaction shifts the price of goods.
You'll need to adapt your strategy to market economics and carefully consider the risk of each investment in order to win in this economic strategy game!
There are 2 included expansions:
Worker Wars - Introduces a competitive labor market for the workers who run your widget making process. You'll need to bid against your competitors for the right to hire workers - the wrong price can have devastating impact to your bottom line!
Boardroom Battle - Introduces 12 unique card abilities to the game. You must balance profitability with powerful game controlling abilities.
