📖 About This Game
In Web of Life, you take on the role of an ecosystem builder, placing species cards to form scientifically accurate predator-prey connections and build a complete natural system.
Starting from fungi and plants, you'll introduce herbivores, predators, and eventually apex carnivores — all within the spatial and strategic limits of a growing ecosystem. Every placement is a step in the evolution of life, every connection a glimpse into nature’s intricate design. Can you weave the longest, most stable food chains and master the balance of the wild?
Web of Life is a solo card game where you’ll build a scientifically accurate ecosystem by playing species cards — each representing a real organism from the natural food chain. Every card has a defined trophic level — from producers to apex predators — and a unique effect that can influence your hand, the layout, or the deck itself. Each turn, refill your hand to 3 cards, then play one to activate its effect and expand your food web.
Your goal is to form ecological chains by linking species according to their natural predator-prey relationships. How and when you play each card matters: strategic timing and positioning, combined with clever use of card effects, are key to building efficient and powerful chains.
