📖 About This Game

Theme: In Undercover Cop, players dive into a high-stakes heist, secretly taking on the role of either a cunning Thief or a double-crossing Undercover Cop. The Thieves aim to snatch as many valuable diamonds as possible, while the Cop(s) secretly work to sabotage their plans by triggering alarms and getting the loot confiscated by the police. The game's tension builds as players bluff, deduce, and push their luck, never truly knowing who they can trust until the very end. Gameplay: The game is played over a series of turns where players roll five custom dice, each featuring Diamond, Alarm, Thief, and Cop symbols. On a player's turn, they get up to three rolls, deciding which dice to re-roll (Alarms, once rolled, are locked). The core push-your-luck mechanic centers around the Alarm symbols: if a player rolls three or more Alarms at any point, their turn ends immediately, they steal no diamonds, and the Alarm Marker advances. If the Alarm Marker advances and there are currently more Cops than Thieves in play, diamonds are confiscated from the supply and moved to the Evidence Box. If no alarm is triggered, the player successfully steals diamonds equal to the number of Diamond symbols showing on their dice. Goal: The game concludes after the Alarm Marker has been moved six times. At this point, a crucial Vote Stage occurs where players discuss and vote on who they believe the Undercover Cop(s) are. Finally, the game moves to scoring: all stolen diamonds accumulated by the Thieves are tallied and compared against the diamonds in the Evidence Box. The team (Thieves or Cops) with the most diamonds wins. In the event of a tie, the Cops win, adding an extra layer of pressure for the Thieves to significantly out-steal the police.
