📖 About This Game

Stocklab is a stock market simulation game for the general public. Players compete to build assets by investing in several stock sectors and mutual funds, and using various actions optimally to become the investor with the most coins at the end of the game. For the game setup, shuffle and arrange 4 stock cards in a row from left to right, place 4 stock tokens on the number 5 (starting price) of each sector as a marker for the stock price of that sector, then place the mutual fund card between the 2 stocks in the middle. After that, shuffle the pile of economic cards and place 6 cards on top of each stock card, return the unused economic cards to the box. Distribute the initial capital of 15 coins to each player, a screen divider to store and keep the number of coins secret, and random order cards. Shuffle the pile of action cards and place them in a place that is easily accessible to all players. There are four phases in a round: bidding phase, action phase, selling phase, and economic phase. 1. Bidding phase Open the action cards twice the number of players. Players auction their turn order, each player fills their fist with coins secretly, with minimum 1 coin. After that, players open their fists simultaneously, then compare the number of coins with other players and redistribute the order cards starting from the player with the most coins. If it's a tie, compare the order cards that have been previously owned. Pay all coins used for bidding to the bank. 2. Action phase Each player takes 1 card in turn, starting from player with order card 1 until all action cards are gone. Players can keep the action card as stock, and the card effect is lost, or activate the effect to use that card's action, then the card is discarded. 3. Selling phase Depending on the order, each player can sell as many shares of one type as they want. 4. Economic phase Open the top economy card of each sector. Execute the effect of each card, then discard all activated economy cards. The game ends when the last economic card is revealed. Each player then calculates the total assets they have from all stock and mutual fund cards at current prices, plus the number of coins they have. The player with the highest total asset value is declared the best investor. In the event of a tie, the player with the smaller order number in the last round is the winner.
