A hex based gladitorial combat game. You run a school of gladiators in ancient Rome.You can use chits or miniatures. The system of combat favors fast, bloody games instead of complexity and minute detail. It was designed to be familiar to role players and a entry point for casual players to become familiar with historical gaming. The goal of the game is to win the most money by determining when is the best time to fight or use manipulation to increase your pocket book. Each player starts with finances predetermined before playing. This amount can be changed each game to allow for shorter or longer campaigns. The players the purchases fighters for their stable, armor and can invest in creating better stats for their fighters. In later editions the rules added a political component for multi-player campaigns.
