Shadows of Brimstone: Challenge Pack #4 – The Oathbreaker King

A treacherous lord of the North, cursed beyond death for his broken oaths to friend and ally, stories of the Oathbreaker King have been told through the ages. Once resplendent in his gleaming armor and shining crown, the glory of this once noble warrior fell into darkness. Now he is cursed to rise from his forsaken tomb, tainted relics in hand, to haunt the mountains he once called home, bringing death and decay to all he touches. Challenge Pack #4 – The Oathbreaker King is themed for taking on an Epic Undead Norse king of old with a powerful set of Death Cursed Relics and surrounded by cursed oathbreakers from which he gains the benefit of all Broken Oaths currently in play. This set also includes the New Mission: "Hail to the King!" A Challenge Pack is a themed set of cards with a terrifying new Enemy and a nightmarish new Mission designed to give the Heroes an extra challenge. These cards are all used together for the included Mission, but can also be added to your card decks to increase the challenge across your normal games of Shadows of Brimstone as well. The increased difficulty cards are marked with a Challenge Icon so you can easily spot them once mixed into your decks. This set also assumes you have access to various expansions such as the Swamps of Death Core Set, Gates of Valhalla Adventure Set, Fenris Wolves, Draugar Undead Vikings, and Oathbreaker Axemen Enemy packs, and the Forest of the Dead OtherWorld Expansion. Spectres of a Broken Oath This set includes a new Trait card called Spectres of a Broken Oath that can be used to modify any Undead Enemies to make them Oathbreakers. This Trait card is used as part of the included Mission, but can also be applied to Enemies in your normal games of Shadows of Brimstone, if you want to add extra challenge to a Fight, or to theme a Mission around battling these treacherous foes! Spectres of a Broken Oath gives the Enemies it is applied to the Oathbreaker Keyword, as well as a Health boost, and allows them to draw a Broken Oath card to see what treachery haunts them in death. Challenge Packs reward players for having a robust collection of Enemies and Expansions; and contain several Threat cards that include a mix of various Enemies from across the game. —description from the publisher
