Roberto Chiavini's Horse Racing

Roberto's take on the Sport of Kings - Horse Racing - is a simple, statistically based sports simulation allowing gamers to replay historical Flat, Jump, Steeplechase, and Harness races from 1900 into the 21st century. Horses are classes A through H and may also have a set of asterisks indicating their chances of winning close races. The races are run over a number of steps (usually 6 or 10), and each step consists of a dice roll cross referenced to a set of charts which indicate how each horse fares against the pack. Additional rolls are required to determine accidents, and close races lead to an additional "photo finish" step.
