📖 About This Game
Pawns
Each player has 4 white and 4 black soldier pieces and 1 king piece (total of 9 pieces). Enemies and allies are separated by the shape of squares and circles.
How to play
First, the player decides on the first move and the second move, and makes the initial placement.
Kings are placed in the base square (the square with the sun). Troop pieces can be placed in any of the two squares in the front row. However, you may not place six of your pieces in a straight line, including the initial placement. If you do, you lose the game. In the official rules, the first and second players place their pieces one by one, but in the local rules, if both players agree, they may place their pieces at once.
The first player and the second player take turns moving their pieces. No passing is allowed.
Each piece can move one square diagonally.
If you put your red pieces between your opponent's pieces (red and black king pieces), you can take all enemy pieces between them. However, if there is a piece of your own between the red and black pieces, it is not considered to be sandwiched.
If you put an enemy black or king piece between your red piece and the enemy's red piece, you can take one of the trapped pieces.
The same applies to black pieces.
A king piece can take any number of enemy pieces (black and white commander pieces), regardless of which color they are placed between the king piece and the red or black piece if the king piece is one of your soldiers. However, if there is a piece of your own in between the two, the king piece is not considered to be in between the two.
Kings cannot be taken with enemy soldiers' pieces or kings' pieces between them.
Victory or defeat
When a king piece is taken, the game is lost. If the king piece reaches the enemy's base square, the player wins.
