📖 About This Game

Quest in a Box is a lighthearted, fast-paced storytelling game where imagination is your greatest weapon and laughter is your ultimate reward. In this whimsical, cooperative tabletop experience, 2 to 8 players take on the roles of quirky characters with unique talents, quirks, and catchphrases. Together, your party must overcome bizarre challenges and complete a randomly generated quest, all while staying in character and keeping the laughs coming. Whether you're battling a sandwich-stealing goblin, delivering a letter to a dragon, or trying to convince a wizard to try therapy, every game is wildly different and endlessly replayable. What Makes It Special? No Winners, No Losers. Just Laughs: It's all about collaborative storytelling and having fun with your friends and family. Perfect for All Ages: Designed for players 9 and up, with just the right mix of cleverness for adults and simplicity for kids. Quick to Learn, Always Fresh: Set up in minutes, play in under an hour, and never have the same adventure twice. Independently Made in the U.S.A.: Lovingly crafted by indie creator Luis, every copy is handmade and assembled right here in the United States. Kickstarter-Exclusive Bonuses: Backers get special content you won’t find in any future retail edition, including extra characters and bonus quest cards. In Quest in a Box, players complete the quest by working together to overcome challenges using their characters' unique quirks, talents, and a bit of roleplaying flair. Each round, a player is chosen as the Hero and must respond to a Challenge Card in character. After acting out their response, they roll a die to determine success or failure. Other players vote on the Hero’s performance, awarding Roleplay Points that can unlock bonus abilities like rerolls or character swaps. The team wins by completing 5 challenges before they fail 3. If they fail 3 challenges, the quest ends in a humorous disaster and the game is lost. There are no pawns or movement—this is a storytelling card game focused on imagination, interaction, and laughs. —description from the designer
