カルトゲバルト (Quartett Gewalt) is a fast fighting card game from Japan, using the rock-paper-scissors mechanism (well known as Janken in Japan). In this game, each player starts with the same 8 cards, Soldat (attacker), Zauberer (magic user), Ritter (defence), and two life crystals. In rock-paper-scissors style, Soldat beats Zauberer, who beats Ritter, who beats Soldat. One player starts by placing a card face-down, picking an opponent, who also places a card face-down. Both cards are revealed, the combat resolved and the winner picks up the loser's card.
