Protect and Survive

Protect and Survive is a solo tabletop adventure game where you are the Response Team Leader for a community of humans trying to survive after a calamity has beset the Earth. You will lead your Team into danger and strive to bring them back safe through a series of battles against those who would threaten the very existence of your community. Each game takes the form of a battle between the Team and another group, and sometimes includes some additional task or conditions to fulfill to keep your adventure progressing. The game is designed to be played by a single player running a small team of heroic characters and with the reactions of their adversaries and any bystanders being driven by the rolls of the dice. While there are many games that can be played solo, these have been specifically designed to be played that way, There are three ways to play: 15 Turns - Follow one of the six defined Story Arcs that will lead you through 15 battles to a conclusion. Emergent - Start with randomly rolled battles but then follow the appropriate Story Arc as it emerges. Sandbox - Make up your own story, choosing when to roll up random battles and when to pick a special scenario from whichever Arc as it appeals to you. The games are not aiming to be in any way a detailed simulation of armed combat in any given period, instead they concentrate on getting into the action as quickly as possible, and providing interesting events for your overall campaign. —description from the designer
