📖 About This Game
Potion-making: School of magic is a remake of good old hit Potion-Making: Practice.
The game preserves the spirit of the older version but has some expanded mechanics and few older problems solved so it’s a completely stand-alone game and doesn’t combine with earlier versions.
Players compete in combining potions basically using 3 recipe decks that differ by difficulty. Also there is a spell deck that gives cards for completed recipes and amulets that require charging with winning points. While players discard ingredients or involunteerly help each other sharing potions they get universal magemas that can be used as ingrediens.
Cards in recipe decks are used as recipes while at hand and as ingredients at the table.Magic can transform ingredients or recipes to any needed potion without spending anything but doesn’t give any winning points.
Winning points are counted by collecting crystals put at the amulet to charge it. The game ends when the amulet is filled with points — needed amount depends at the number of players. The player with the biggest sum at the amulet is a winner.
The game can be downgraded to play with smaller children or a bit upgraded with expansions «Eternal fire» and «Principle of elements» which are already in the box.
