Not Your Ma's Jong

When our grandmothers met for the first time, they didn’t speak the same language but quickly discovered their shared love of mahjong. We had each seen them play growing up, but realized that we never play with our friends. It’s tough to learn, and games can be pretty slow. We reimagined this ancient pastime and created a brand new card game, based on mahjong and memories of growing up with our grandmothers! Not Your Ma's Jong re-envisions the classic game with card drafting mechanics, and simplifies win conditions. Players take turns being "Ma" over a series of rounds. The player to first achieve 3 sets and 1 pair wins a round, and receives tokens from the other players. Winner has the most tokens at the end of the game. —description from the designer
