📖 About This Game

In its sister game, Edge of Destruction at Nafah, the IDF faced hundreds of Syrian tanks but were halted narrowly. North of Nafah, is the Valley of Tears, which is depicted in this game using the same rules but with critical differences. The VOT area was held by four battalions from the 7th Tank Brigade. Before the Syrians attacked, it had 110 tanks. By the time the game begins on the 7th, it was down to 45-50. By the end of the game, should the IDF player succeed, there maybe only 20 tanks remaining while the Syrian will lost over 250-300. While the antitank ditch slowed the Syrian advance, they kept coming and the Syrians had the upper hand totally when it was night due to their night vision capablities, to which the IDF had none. The IDF situation worsens when fuel and ammo begin to run out in the game while the Syrians crawl through the minefields that run along the AT ditch. This is (like at Nafah) a tension filled game where bad decisions cause a bad fate. VOT, like Nafah, was a miracle from the hand of God for the IDF. Game scale is 325 yd. a hex, company size units, 13 turns, 280 counters, 1 11x17" map. —description from the publisher
