📖 About This Game
Mirianth Crystal is a bluffing and deduction card game set in the mystical world of Mirianth, where players take on the role of cunning scoundrels trying to amass wealth by trading magical crystals in the notorious tavern Espólio do Goblin. Each round is filled with misdirection, calculated guesses, and risk management, as players attempt to outwit each other while avoiding the cursed Onyx crystals that can ruin their reputation.
Game Overview
The game is played over 5 rounds, each divided into three phases:
Selection Phase
Players secretly choose one crystal card to contribute to the round's “Loot Pile.” Cards range in value from 0 to 5, with lower and higher-value cards being rarer. Players draft these cards through a pass-and-pick system before placing one face down for the round.
Guessing Phase
Each player makes a secret bid, guessing the total value of all hidden crystal cards in the loot pile. Before guessing, players may use a Character card from their hand — either truthfully or as a bluff — to manipulate the game. Other players can challenge this claim by shouting “I doubt it!”, introducing a risk-reward system of deduction and bluffing.
Loot Phase
Once all guesses are made, the total value is revealed. The player whose guess is closest (or exact) is rewarded as the Lucky One, gaining first choice of crystal cards and secretly adding two more to the loot before selecting their own. Other players choose from the remaining loot based on proximity of their guesses.
Throughout the game, players build a personal collection of crystals to score points. Sets of identical crystals earn bonuses, while collecting diverse types adds extra value. But beware: every Onyx token (earned from being caught lying or taking risks) deducts points at the end of the game.
