📖 About This Game

On June 5, 1944, resistance fighters listening to radio broadcasts in France heard: “This is London. First, some personal messages: ‘You wound my heart with a monotonous languor...’ That's it, it's D-Day! In Limousin, the networks sprang into action: Destruction of locomotives, railways, viaducts, attacks on command posts, destruction of telephone lines. ... On June 8, the occupation forces' high command ordered the 2nd SS Division Das Reich to leave Montauban and move up through Limousin to “break up” the maquis, which were becoming alarmingly active. It must be ready to join the Normandy front on orders. By June 4, the Breton maquis had already begun gathering and sabotage operations. On the night of June 5, 36 French SAS soldiers parachuted into Brittany. Their mission: organize the resistance, pin down 85,000 Germans in their garrisons, and seal off Brittany. No German troops must be allowed to reach the Normandy front. During these crucial days that determined the success or failure of D-Day, will you be brave and tactical enough in your battles to slow down or even stop the advance of the 2nd SS Division Das Reich, wear down its offensive potential, and limit its atrocities? In the continuation of the scenarios, and in order to play the last game in the Liberation series (the liberation of Paris), will you be courageous and tactically astute in your battles? In these two scenarios, the fighting reaches its peak. The final victory or defeat of the Allied forces depends solely on your decisions and your intelligence in the face of an occupier who will put its last forces into a fight to the death. —description from the designer
