GAMEPLAY OVERVIEW
Karciane Królestwa: Dziedzictwo Avalonu ("Card Kingdoms: Legacy of Avalon") is a card-driven engine-building and combat game. The game is played entirely with cards, with no dice or pawns.
Each turn, players perform a sequence of phases: they generate resources (Food, Wood, Stone, Gold) from the building cards they have in play, draw a new card, and then use their resources to perform actions. Actions include playing new cards from their hand, such as:
Building Cards:These are placed in a player's kingdom (their tableau) and provide ongoing benefits, like generating more resources each turn.
Unit Cards:These represent the player's army. They are played into an "army zone" and have Attack and Health stats.
Technology Cards:These provide powerful, permanent passive bonuses.
Action Cards:These are powerful one-time effects.
Players build and lead their armies by playing these unit cards. During the Combat Phase, a player can declare an attack against the player to their left. Combat is resolved by comparing the Attack stats of attacking units against the Health stats of defending units. Any unblocked damage is dealt directly to the opponent's Castle card.
A player wins the game immediately when they reduce their opponent's Castle's Health to zero.
