📖 About This Game

A 2 player (1v1) card game using a standard 52 deck. Picture cards have special abilities, hands are won with highest scores (five rounds each game, highest total score wins after five rounds Each player chooses a king, jack and queen of a single suit - the other two sets of J,Q,K are put to one side (each player chooses either a red or black suit) The remaining 40 cards are shuffled to create the draw deck Each round a player is given four cards from the draw deck - cards are worth point values and Aces are worth 11 After looking at their cards - each players says together "Jokers Boss (3 syllables)_ - after which they either their four cards face down in front of their three court cards, or on top of the joker If they play on the joker then before the cards are revealed, that player can play one of their Jack Queen or King, after which it is flipped over. King - Add 8 points to the players hand OR can be used to flip one of the other players court cards - this cannot be done to a court card just played by the opponent Queen - Deducts 8 points from the opponents hand score OR if the opponent has an Ace in their hand the Ace can be reduced to 1 (this choice is with the player who plays the queen) Jack - Adds 8 points to the players hand as with the King OR if the opponent either has a run of four numbers and/or 4 of the same suit - the opponent does not score this hand (even if they win) and loses all of their current score pile If after special cards, you have the highest scoring hand, you score all the cards in your hand but NOT any J,Q,K The opponent discards their losing hand Scores are tallied after five rounds - any J/Q/K left unplayed is worth four points at the end of the game Highest score wins, a tied score means players draw a card at random from their shuffled score pile and the highest draw wins (repeat until there is a winner)
