📖 About This Game

Do all people feel the same way? Step into other people’s shoes and have fun exploring the strange and diverse emotions they choose in response to life’s stimuli. Input! is a card game about emotional intelligence where you’ll win if you manage to control and rationalize more limiting thoughts than anyone else. In INPUT!, players receive limiting thoughts that they must transform into rational thoughts by guessing emotions through empathy with the active player in each round. Each turn, one player takes on the role of the protagonist: they listen to a situation (INPUT) proposed by the player to their right, secretly choose three emotions that situation evokes for them, and the other players try to guess them in several phases, receiving clues from the protagonist. Whoever guesses correctly earns points to convert limiting thoughts into rational ones. The player who manages to transform the most thoughts wins. The game also includes a cooperative mode where everyone guesses at the same time and earns points together as a team, transforming the limiting thoughts from the common deck into rational thoughts. After the final round, players receive feedback based on their performance as a team. This game aims to encourage debate and reflection about thinking styles and the different types of emotions associated with them. The goal is for players to expand their emotional vocabulary, understand, develop, and practice empathy, and learn strategies to regulate their emotions and manage disproportionate reactions. Input! is a card game developed by the PlaytheWay label from the SIAD association and funded by the Government Delegation for the National Plan on Drugs. —description from the designer
