Hyperspace: Azota

Each Hyperspace expansion civilization comes with a Homeworld tile, 4 unique Citizens, 2 Super Units, and 2 Super Techs. Over time the Azota enervate and weaken other aliens – gradually, but permanently, removing colonies from play. But the Azota weaken over time as well, making the game into a race. The Azota must “spread the love”, gathering colonies as they go. They are more powerful in the early game, and lose oomph as time goes on. They must maximize their advantages before they fall apart. The Skeleship is designed for one purpose only – to kill. If you can afford to accompany it with a single puny corvette, it is certain to score a kill in every fight – possibly more than one. It is deadly, and the Azota ability to engage in extra battles makes it even worse.
