📖 About This Game

Gog & Magog – The Last Bastion is a richly themed, card-driven battle game set in a mythic world of guilds and elemental forces. Players choose pre-constructed decks made of vibrant lore-rich cards and face off in thrilling one-on-one or team-based duels. The world is filled with powerful creatures, strategic spells, and mystical invocations, all underpinned by a dramatic backdrop of conquest and allegiances. Gameplay Overview Players begin with either a full deck of 150 cards (Destiny Mode) or a customized deck of 50 cards (Free Will Mode). Each deck is composed of: - Creature Cards Playable onto the battlefield to defend or attack. Basic Creatures serve as the backbone of your forces. Creatures with Abilities introduce unique effects such as passive auras, death effects, or one-time activations (e.g., dealing damage, drawing cards, or energy manipulation). - Spell Cards Represent magical events or powers. Have immediate effects (like damage, healing, energy shifts, or disabling enemy units). Cost energy or mana to play, depending on their potency and type. - Invocation Cards Special one-use cards that summon 2 to 5 creatures from a single guild directly to the battlefield without using mana. After their use, they are placed in a separate zone and cannot be reused. - Resource Cards Crucial to economy and tempo. Energy Cards: Used to pay for most cards. Mana Cards: Rare and powerful, used for stronger creatures or high-level spells. Efficient resource management is vital to survival and offense. Turn Structure Each round is timed (30–60 seconds) using a sand timer. On your turn, you: Draw a card Pay resource costs (energy or mana) Play cards: creatures, spells, invocations Position and attack: shift creatures to offense and initiate battle End turn: Pass to your opponent, who begins their round Victory often comes from draining your opponent's forces, controlling the board, or disrupting their energy/mana engine. Objective The goal is to outwit and outlast your opponent by: Controlling the battlefield with summoned creatures Efficiently using spell cards and abilities Managing your energy/mana economy Reduce your opponent's energy to zero to dismantle their strategy and dominate the board. Card Dimensions & Strategic Diversity The Gog & Magog universe is built upon the coexistence of four distinct dimensions, all imagined and conceptualized to offer players a rich and diversified gameplay strategy: Earth Dimension: The realm of human champions, earthly heroes, and mystical creatures. These cards support balanced mid-range strategies, offering a mix of offense and defense ideal for versatile deck-building. Jahanam Dimension: The fiery realm of Hell, home to fallen angels and damned souls. Cards from this domain specialize in late-game, high-impact attacks and are perfect for players who thrive on overwhelming final blows. Oceanic Dimension: Dominated by aquatic and sea-bound entities, this realm offers cards focused on resilient offense and sturdy defense. A go-to for players who favor grinding their opponents down while staying tough. Janna Dimension: A celestial sphere of divine beings and radiant creatures. These cards cater to healing, endurance, and sustainability, allowing players to survive long matches and wear down aggressive opponents over time. Final Summary Gog & Magog is a deep and tactical card battle game combining the intensity of real-time decision-making with the depth of deckbuilding and resource management. Featuring creatures with unique powers, spells, invocations, dimensions, and dual-resource systems, it challenges players to think fast and strategize deeply across multiple game modes. Whether playing the physical hybrid version or competing online in play-to-earn battles, the path to victory lies in mastering your guild’s strengths and exploiting your opponent’s weaknesses. —description from the publisher
