Forsaken Souls: Hidden Ward

Forsaken Souls: Hidden Ward is a print-and-play escape room set in 1933. Players take on the role of Detective Nathan Reed, who returns to the now-abandoned Hawksley Infirmary, the same institution whose secrets he exposed thirteen years prior. A mysterious letter has summoned him back, warning of a hidden ward that was never uncovered during the original investigation. The game takes place entirely within this forgotten section of the asylum. Players explore its rooms, decipher cryptic clues, and unravel the final chapter of the asylum’s dark history. The goal is to escape the ward by solving puzzles embedded in fictional documents, illustrated clues, and narrative-driven challenges, while gradually uncovering what truly happened behind locked doors. The game is designed for 1–6 players and can be played cooperatively. A detailed Game Master Guide allows one player to set up and facilitate the experience without spoilers, mimicking the structure and pacing of a physical escape room.
