📖 About This Game

Firebirds: Gunship is a tactical-level, narrative-style solitaire/2-player co-op wargame using a tables-based game engine. As the pilot of either a US Army OH-6A Cayuse scout helicopter or AH-1G Cobra gunship helicopter, your ultimate goal is to survive a 1-year Vietnam tour of duty during the year 1969, while at the same time trying to destroy as many enemy Viet Cong as possible. The following dice are required to play: One D20, one D6, and two D10s. A medium size table is recommended for game setup. 5 minute game setup and breakdown times. Total play time to complete a full 1-year tour of duty takes approximately 3-10 hours (depending on game length chosen). Adjustable starting difficulty based on player's skill level. While originally designed as solitaire, the game can easily be played as 2-player co-op, with player 1 flying helo 1, and player 2 flying helo 2. With most of the rules integrated into the tables, there is practically no learning curve or rules memorization. And with 2 flyable helicopter types, numerous crewmen skills, mission types, detailed damage modeling, weather effects, terrain types, random events, and a multitude of table modifiers, Firebirds: Gunship offers high replay value. Are you up to the challenge of surviving a 1-year tour of duty in Vietnam? —description from the publisher
