📖 About This Game
This standalone set of rules covers the French Revolutionary Wars and the Napoleonic Wars. It is built on the Dominion of the Spear game system but is a brand new set of rules with appropriate rule changes (including a pre-battle artillery bombardment and increased use of the unreliable attribute). These are very very simple rules with armies of 3-6 units and a solo battle can be fought within 10 minutes. An example play through is included. There is a Quick Reference Sheet on the back cover. Use model figures of any scale or paper and pen as there is no measuring (grid used). Uses 2 six sided dice.
25 historical battles are included ready to play, each with a brief background, army lists, deployment, and brief account of what happened historically:
Montenotte 1796, Lodi 1796, Rivoli 1797, Pyramids 1798, Marengo 1800, Austerlitz 1805, Jena 1806, Auerstedt 1806, Eylau 1807, Friedland 1807, Bailén 1808, Roliça 1808, Vimeiro 1808, Corunna 1809, Wagram 1809, Talavera 1809, Salamanca 1812, Borodino 1812, Berezina 1812, Vitoria 1813, Leipzig 1813, Hanau 1813, Quatre Bras 1815, Ligny 1815, Waterloo 1815.
