Deities of Death

The Forests of Death shroud the mountains above Thornglove, casting ominous shadows over the village. Few dare enter, fearing certain death at the hands of its ruling Deities. Yet, legend tells that those who brave their torture earn glory and immortality. Will you impress the Deities of Death enough to claim your place among them, or will your soul be trapped forever? Gameplay In this strategic card game for 1–3 players, you’ll grow and explore your own deadly forest while competing to gain divine favour. On your turn, place a card to expand your forest and move your pawn through discovered terrain. Forest cards are layered on top of one another in a puzzle-like fashion. As you travel through your forest, you may gain favour from the forest deities – every forest you enter has the potential to score the points of a deity of that forest type. Gather enough favour from the forest deities, and you may face the final boss: the Deity of Death herself. Cards can be used to expand your forest, score deity points, or sacrificed to fuel additional movement (potentially giving other players their desired cards) - every choice matters. Both points and timing are crucial: you are attempting to earn deity points before the deck runs out for the second time, and within two rounds of your rivals’ success.
