📖 About This Game

In Cherry on Top, you try to place your cards as cleverly as possible in the common display to form larger groups than the players before you. Whoever does this best and discards their own cards first wins! Gameplay: On your turn you can (a) place cards or (b) pass. (a): Place any number of cards from your hand face up in the center of the table. This creates the common display. Follow these rules: All cards played during your turn must show the same color or the same fruit. You must place all cards played during your turn horizontally or vertically next to cards already in the common display, or you may cover cards already in the display. The cards played during your turn always form the basis of a group. A group consists of cards placed horizontally or vertically directly next to each other that show either the same color or the same fruit. You may include cards already in the display to form your group! Note: This means you don't necessarily have to play more cards than the last person! The group you form in the common display must always be at least one card larger than the group of the last person to play cards. End of the round: If everyone else passes after the last person to place a group, the round ends. The last person to place a group begins a new round by forming a new group with the action (a) place cards. The common display is not removed at the end of the round! It always remains for the next round. End of the game: The game ends immediately when someone places their last card into the common display. That person wins.
